What I do is strip my files so I can use them forever and then remove them from my Amazon acct completely. Set up a local Calibre client and the DeDRM tools On first start, open preferences and disable automatic updates on startup!! i have pretty much had to abandon Calibre. Since the change to KFX files i have been completely unable to use calibre for Amazon Books.i try and try and try but it never works. So it's as simple as downloading an older version of Kindle for PC! I use it for my non Kindle devices for compatibility purposes 👍🏼Ĭheers man. Then you can reconvert to KFX with another plug-in if you like. Then it’s as simple as you mention, with a plug-in for Calibre you can get rid of DRM.
I personally use Kindle for PC version 1.17 and it downloads your purchased books in azw3. It used to work with Calibre, a plugin and the early 2010 Kindle with AZW3 files. Is it still possible to remove DRM? And is there a quick method? I use Kindle for PC, which uses KFX files of my books.
